tennis pro Serena Williams left the Australian Open surprisingly early. The 38-year-old American lost in Friday's third round against the Chinese Wang Qiang in three sets 4: 6, 7: 6 (7: 2), 5: 7. After 2:41 hours the end of Williams was sealed.
The former long-standing number one in the world also has the Australian Open missed the chance to win their 24th Grand Slam title and set Australian Court's all-time record.
In 2018 and 2019 Williams only failed in the Wimbledon final and at the US Open on the 24th victory, in 2018 to Angelique Kerber.
